I work as more of an all-round designer. I’m excited by creative solutions to problems and how those solutions can impact users everyday life. Particularly the application of technology in objects. I excel when rapidly visualising solution focused concepts, with proven ability to move those concepts into reality. I graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Industrial Design, where my final year of study focused on information sharing and visualisation within a safety product. This is presented in the research text 'Project Canary', an exploration into how the Internet of Things may manifest in a workplace safety product.&nbsp; I have since been working at Studio Proper, an Australian design brand producing consumer Apple accessories, and innovative business products. Here I work across many roles in the development of these solutions, from scoping early concepts and costing for projects, manufacture ready CAD, and supplier management. Calibrating the shore hardness of the silicone cover was a particular area of focus in the later stages of development. The cover needed to fit over the common ranges of dog collar hardware. Allow fairly easy installation of the AirTag enclosure, but not easily eject from the cover if under any duress. The AirTag is powered by a button cell battery which can be very dangerous if ingested. Technology advances over the last several years have brought products like wearable fitness trackers and smart watches into the mass market. The sensing and visualization of data these products use could form the basis for a new category of intelligent workplace safety technology. A device that promotes awareness of a users actions and environment, and is an effective fast response mechanism if an accident is to occur or a workplace is becoming unsafe. Project Canary seeks to streamline workplace safety information delivery, by integrating with existing practices and providing a new system foundation that will incorporate safety and productivity management.
